English: The bark of an old carpinus austrobalcanica with moss. It is a new species of tree, which was first described 2024 by Serbian and Austrian scientists. It is also called the southern Balkan hornbeam from the family Corylaceae, native to southern Balkan Peninsula.
Deutsch: Die Rinde einer alten Südbalkan-Hainbuche (carpinus austrobalcanica) mit Moos bedeckt. Die neue Baumart wurde 2024 erstmals von serbischen und österreichischen Forscherinnen und Forschern beschrieben. Sie findet sich nur in Südalbanien und Nordwestgriechenland.
