English: The Brazil Ranch on Serra Hill south of Bixby Creek on the Big Sur coast circa 1880s or 1890s. Owned by Antonio and Mary Brazil, they had six children. Antonio was born on the ranch of John and Florence Swetnam Pfeiffer, and married their granddaughter Mary Pfeiffer on July 22, 1929. They bought the Brazil Ranch and ran it for almost a century. The property was originally settled in the 1870s by Job and Serena Waters Heath.
