Summary

Description
English: 1971 AMC Javelin AMX, a muscle car made by American Motors Corporation (AMC). Originally a GT-type two seater from 1968 to 1970, the AMX name was applied in 1971 to the top high-performance level of the "pony car" Javelin. This car has the 401 Go Package that includes AMC's 401 cubic inch (6.6 L) 4-barrel V8 engine producing 335 hp, "Rally-Pac" instruments, handling package, “Twin-Grip” differential, heavy-duty cooling, power disc brakes, white-letter E60x15 Goodyear Polyglas tires on 15x7-inch styled slotted steel wheels (originally used on the Rebel Machine), and a blacked-out rear panel. This factory original AMX is finished in Mustard Yellow (paint code B8) and has the T-stripe decal in black on the fiberglass full-width cowl induction hood to complement the twin cove black vinyl covered roof. The front and rear spoilers were also standard on all 1971 AMXs. This car also has the factory AM/FM stereo radio. Picture taken at the car show on Saturday, July 25, 2015, during the American Motors Owners Association (AMO) annual convention that was held near Cleveland, Ohio.
