Summary

Description
English: Extract from the 1906_Arthur_Constantin_KREBS_testimony_during_the_Selden_case.pdf : "In 1867 I saw for the first time the automobile vehicle of Lotz. Thereafter in 1878 the vehicle of Bollee. The vehicle of Lotz consisted essentially of a steam generator carried on a forecarriage with fifth wheel with a coupling (king bolt) pin and with a trailer consisting of an axle and two wheels, one of which wheels could be connected or disconnected from the axle in order to permit endless screw gearing with a sector connected by chains to the ends of the front axle. I saw this vehicle running at Lons le Saulnier , in view of a trial made with this machine under the direction of Mr. Lotz when he made a trip for advertising purposes in 1867, if I remember rightly."
