English: A "sitz-bath" should accomodate complete immersion of the lower part of the back, the abdomen, and the thighs leaving ample room to wash and massage these parts of the body. Page 83 in Henry B. Scammell's 1897 handbook Cyclopedia of Valuable Receipts, a guide to all and sundry with 2000 illustrations.
