Felicity Gerry

Felicity Gerry is an Australian barrister, academic, and media commentator.[1][2][3][4] She is a professor of Legal Practice at Deakin University, Melbourne, and practices at Libertas Chambers in London and Crockett Chambers in Melbourne.[1][5][6]
Career
[edit]Gerry has been involved in notable legal cases, including work in the UK Supreme Court on joint enterprise law and the Australian High Court on rights to second appeal.[7][6] She holds a PhD on human trafficking and is a senior anti-human trafficking consultant for Lawyers Without Borders.[1]
Gerry led the appeal before the UK Supreme Court in R v Jogee.[8] She has handled cases involving human trafficking and modern slavery.[9][10] She defended the Al Hassan team at the ICC.[11][12]
She is a commentator on international legal issues, particularly relating to international crimes, terrorism, and human rights abuses.[13][9][14]
As a Professor of Legal Practice at Deakin University, she teaches courses on contemporary international legal challenges, including sanctions law, war crimes, modern slavery, and digital law.[1][2]
