Reception

[edit]

Time Magazine wrote "The worst thing about the play isn’t that it never comes within hailing distance of satire, but that it is altogether stupefying as farce."[4]

Variety wrote "as a play its virtually nothing at all but Cummings in particular gives a talented an infectious comedy performance."[5]

The play was adapted by John Clements for a British version called The Happy Marriage.
