Eradi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eradi is a subcaste of the Samantan Nair and Kiriyathil Nair community from the Indian state of Kerala.[1] The Samoothiri (Zamorin), the erstwhile monarchs and hereditary rulers of the kingdom of Kozhikode, belong to this subcaste.[2][3] They derive their name from the province of Eranad, where they were the ruling chiefs.[4][5]
