Senate constituency in Spain
El Hierro is one of the 59 constituencies (Spanish: circunscripciones ) represented in the Senate of Spain , the upper chamber of the Spanish parliament, the Cortes Generales . The constituency elects one senator . Its boundaries correspond to those of the island of El Hierro . The electoral system employs open list partial block voting , allowing electors to vote for individual candidates rather than parties.
