Edward Geoghegan

Edward Geoghegan (1813 – 11 January 1869) was an Irish-Australian writer and town clerk. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, and was a medical student when transported as a convict to Australia in 1840. He wrote a number of plays, including The Hibernian Father the first Australian written play professionally performed in Sydney.^[1]^[2]

Geoghegan died in 1869.^[3]
