An ectoparasitic infestation is a parasitic disease caused by organisms that live primarily on the surface of the host.[1]
Examples:
- Scabies
- Crab louse (pubic lice)
- Pediculosis (head lice)[2]
- Gamasoidosis (avian mites)
- Lernaeocera branchialis (cod worm)
