Earth Abides is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama television miniseries created by Todd Komarnicki, and starring Alexander Ludwig and Jessica Frances Dukes.[1][2][3] It is based on George R. Stewart's novel of the same title.[1] The series is slated to premiere on December 1, 2024, via MGM+ in the United States and Stan in Australia.[4]

In March 2024, it was announced that MGM+ greenlit an adaptation of Stewart's novel as a six-episode limited series, with Ludwig cast as Ish.[1] In April that same year, it was announced that Dukes was cast as the female lead.[2] In June that same year, it was announced that several other actors, including Tveit, were cast in the series.[5]
