I have been converting some bare URL's into citations, but found most of the Daily Telegraph URL's (www.dailytelegraph.com.au) that I have converted are blocked by a paywall, and cannot be viewed for free, as a subscription is needed. I have tagged these citations as needing verification, by someone who hasa subscription, because the standard editing form templates do not extract any metadata from these URL's. Also, the Internet Archive crawler is blocked and redirected to require a subscription, too. What information I can obtain by visiting the redirect page, which is only an article title, makes me wonder if this website is a reliable source. The new page patrol source guide for Australian sources indicates it is unreliable. With it being behind a paywall, too, this just compounds the issues with verification to make it next to useless for most Wikipedia editors to verify an article. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 01:52, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This article needs to be distinguish from the Sydney gangland war article, once this article is ready to be moved to the main article space. The current draft article name is not suitable for an article title because it starts with the definite article "The", contrary to WP:DEFINITE which advises avoiding using the definite article if it is not part of the formal name and to be consistent with the way the existing article is named. Also, the title should use lower case for the ordinary words in the title, as per the naming conventions for capitalisation which say: "Do not capitalize the second or subsequent words in an article title, unless the title is a proper name." I have nominated using Sydney gangland war (2020s) as it is the closest name to the draft article name, but I am open to other possible titles that make sense. Whatever happens, a title will likely need to be disambiguated from the article about the Sydney gangland war of the 1980s. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 00:43, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
