Publications

[edit]

Dear everyone:

As the issue only was further discussed at a user talk page, I'd would like to use the draft's own talk page to ask the question I already was able to ask the helpful DoubleGrazing about - "Publications". After the first review brought up that it was unclear, I marked them as the institution's output more clearly, but the question of its use seems to remain. As I understand it, in this form it would serve the same purpose as a list of publications as part of an author's page, so I thought it legitimate to include as a list (again, as seen on pages of people that published in their lives). As I understood - and I dearly hope not to misrepresent - DoubleGrazer's answer to my question on their talk page, that seemed to be a viable explanation. Regarding the further feedback which I got (and am grateful for!) I'd like to put this question out here for a broader audience of experienced editors - does an institution's list of publications (the institution being a university museum and thus having research of its collections as one of its core tasks) serve the same purpose as that of an individual author/researcher or does it differ and thus is better left out of the article?

I'd like to emphasize that this question is separate from the previously commented on issue of independent sources to establish notability (which I hope to have rectified), as well as the further comment on the "Collection" section in its list form which I will overwork according to the feedback of the more experienced editors (thank you for your suggestion, Hoary!)

Thank you for your feedback! TrinChase (talk) 16:46, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
