This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (Lila Gogoi (1930 – 1994) was one of the prominent Assamese writers of the twentieth century. He was a great historian, poet and satirical writer. Lila Gogoi presided over the 1994 session of Asom Sahitya Sabha held at Morigaon, Assam.In 1951, his career started as a high school teacher. He was the Secretary, Co-ordination Committee for the Production of Textbooks in the Regional Language, Dibrugarh University.
