Sowell

[edit]

I'd avoid using Sowell on social or political aspects of economics. His views are not mainstream. SPECIFICO talk 01:16, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware of that, but this particular quote represents a fairly widely held perspective, one that would best be balanced by contrasting perspectives rather than removed from the article. BD2412 T 07:11, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not so sure it's widely held at all. There must be several better quotes in Justice#Fairness and Reciprocity#Social sciences and humanities already. If you want to represent the right wing, Milton Friedman's consequentialism is far superior. E.g., "One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results." Epistemology follows Ontology (talk) 21:16, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I expressed my opinion, but I'm not trying to assert ownership of this draft. To the contrary, I would appreciate if other editors would adopt it and develop it into a sorely needed article. BD2412 T 23:13, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
