What is "Arab Left"

What is "Arab Left"? Nassir is Arab nationalist and not a leftist. So what do you mean by being an "Arab-leftist"? Do we mean Marxists?, pro-LGBT rights? or just modernist? You can start with What Does It Mean To Be an Arab Leftist Today? because this article reads like an essay/original research which does not fit with Wikipedia.
