Yohannes Negga is an Eritrean American technologist & entrepreneur. Yohannes holds a bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Chemical Engineering and is a graduate of Tony Robbins' Mastery University specializing in Wealth & Business Mastery. Yohannes is the founder of De La Tierra Properties and YWN Capital Management. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California and Nevada and also holds a series 3 & Series 30 license administered by the Securities Exchange Commission(SEC) as a Commodities Trading Advisor and Hedge Fund Branch Manager respectively.
Yohannes had an extremely rough upbringing where he witnessed bombings and death at an early age due to the Eritrean War of Independence from Ethiopia. His childhood involved constantly moving locations to escape war & violence.
His family escaped Eritrea's treacherous war with Ethiopia by escaping the guarded border of Eritrean into the lands of South Sudan and finally settling in a refugee camp in Kessla, Sudan. Yohannes' childhood was flooded with violence & unrest including the 3 year stay in the Refugee Camp in the rugged hot sands of Sudan. His family eventually settled in Oakland, Ca where he spent his childhood from Kindergarten to Junior High with other refugees. While living in East Oakland, he single handedly watched the emergence of crack cocaine between 1982 to 1990 that led to drastic increases in crime & murder rates. Just as in the case of escaping the Eritrean war, his family made the decision to leave Oakland to a more improved environment.
