World Labs is a company focusing in spatial intelligence in order to develop Large World Models (LWMs). These models enable to perceive, generate, and interact with 3D environments. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, Worlds Labs aims to revolutionize how machines systems understand and operate within spatially complex, three-dimensional settings.[1]

World Labs aim to create Spatial Intelligence AI that can reason about 3D space around them.

Worlds Labs was founded by Fei-Fei Li along with Justin Johnson, Christoph Lassner, and Ben Mildenhall. Each of them are technologist in Computer vision and Graphics.

What is Spatial Intelligence AI?

Spatial Intelligence AI can model the world and reason about objects, places, and interaction in 3D Space and Time just like humans. Spatial Intelligence Large World Models (LWMs) can understand and reason about the 3D world from Images and other modalities.

They Hope to unlock new possibilities of AI that are not seen by anyone yet, unlocking new capabilities for creative users and professionals such as artists, designers, developers, engineers and more.[2]

Generating Worlds: First Step Toward Spatial Intelligence

Generating Worlds is a AI System that generate 3D Worlds from a Single Image. This AI Model let you to step into any image and explore it in 3D. According to World Labs, generating in 3D Instead of 2D Content like images and videos improves the model control and consistency. World Labs will change the course how we make movies, games, simulations and other digital simulation of our physical World.[6]

With this AI Model we can Generate 3D Worlds with our everyday life images.[7]

Benefits of 3D Effect

  1. Persistent Reality: Once the World is Generated it will remain their. The scene won't change.
  2. Real-Time Control: After a scene is Generated then you can move around in that scene in real time.
  3. Correct Geometry: The generated Worlds Obey the basics physics rules of 3d Geometry.

Simplest Way to visualize the 3D Scene is a depth of a map where each pixel is colored by its distance to the camera.[8]
