Wirt is a main character in the famous short tv series known as Over the Garden Wall by Patrick McHale. Wirt is the main character in the series. He has a younger half-brother called Greg.[1] He and his half-brother try to exit from The Unkown to go to their house. Wirt is consider one of the most popular characters which created by Cartoon Network. He voiced by Elijah Wood.[2][3]
Appearance
[edit]Wirt is a relatively tall, thin boy with messy brown hair. He wears a red hat look like Santa hat,[4] a navy blue cape with yellow buttons, a white shirt, and grey pants with suspenders. This outfit is later revealed to be a Halloween costume, and his daily outfit is an orange sweater over a white shirt and grey pants, which (excluding the sweater) are also used in his Halloween costume.
Personolity
[edit]Wirt is a teenager who views the world in a serious way, unlike Greg[5]. While he can come across as quieter and somewhat timid at times, Wirt can be stubborn in sometimes. Despite this, he’s loyal to his friends.[6] At first, Wirt can become quickly annoyed with Greg,[7][8] despite deeply caring for him, but throughout the series he grows to appreciate his half-brother’s optimism and humor. By the end of the series, he has matured significantly and taken responsibility for his own actions. Wirt has a crush on a girl named Sara,[9] which is be his schoolmate, and he often writes and recites poetry, and he can also play the clarinet.[10][11]
