West Lawn Soccer Club (WLSC) is an American community-based soccer club in Chicago, Illinois. The club was originally formed in October 2005, as an opportunity for players in local school league's to excel at a more competitive level[1]. Based in Chicago's West Lawn neighborhood, WLSC is a sports club dedicated to the development of all levels of soccer for children from marginalized communities at a subsidized price.

History

West Lawn Soccer Club was founded in 2005 by local community leader Martin Mora[2], to compete in the Chicago Park District recreational youth league. In 2019, the club joined the Northern Illinois Division of the US Club Soccer (NISL), one of the top amateur leagues in the country alongside the USSDA. During the 2022 season, the club joined the Illinois Youth Soccer State Premiership Division.
