Wendelin Küpers (* 6. November 1965) is an interdisciplinary academic, who is teachinig and pursuing crossdisciplinary research as full professor for leadership & organisation studies.

Life and Academic career

Wendelin Küpers has studied business administration and economics ( 1989 – 1995) at Universität Witten/Herdecke and completed his Ph.D. there (1998) on Phenomenology of Service Quality. Subseqently he investigated conceptually and empirically demotivation in organisations (1999 –2001) at Hochschule St. Gallen. Afterwards, he worked as senior lecturer at distance university Fernuniversität Hagen with Jürgen Weibler and continued lecturing at Hochschule St. Gallen as well as Universität Innsbruck. After living and working as assistant and associate professor at School for Management, Massey University, Auckland in New Zealand, he teaches and pursues research as a Professor für Leadership und Organisation Studies at Karlshochschule International University in Karlsruhe and was affiliated professor at ICN Business School in Nancy.[1][2]
Combining a phenomenological and cross-disciplinary orientation, his research focuses on embodied, emplaced, emotional, creative and aesthetic dimensions of organizing and managing / leadership. In his current research and teaching he is focusing on more responsive, responsible and wiser forms of organizations and management/leadership that are contributing to more integral, artful, ethical and sustainable practices. He has published widely in scholarly journals, and several books as well as editing, with Routledge, a book series on “The Practical Wisdom in Leadership and Organization”.
