Draft:Warn-on-Forecast

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Warn-on-Forecast is a research project of the National Severe Storms Laboratory that aims to improve weather forecasting by extending the time between the issuance of a weather warning and the onset of severe conditions. The program began in 2010 and had been successfully used to predict severe conditions in advance for the first time in 2024, during the violent EF4 tornado in Greenfield, Iowa.
