Vladimir Đukanović (Belgrade) is a Serbian investor, financial consultant, writer, and former president of the Serbian PGA. He is known for his long-standing career in financial derivatives and investment management.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Vladimir Đukanović was born in Belgrade, where he spent his childhood. He obtained his higher education in the United States, graduating in philosophy and economics from DePauw University.
Career
[edit]He began his financial career at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he worked from 1996 to 2005 as a trader in equities and derivatives. During this period, he led one of the largest portfolio trading operations on the buy side.
Afterward, he moved to John Levin & Co. Europe, where he was the lead trader specializing in risk arbitrage and special situations. From 2006 to 2010, he worked as the chief trader at Cirsio Capital LLP, focusing on the same areas.
In 2010, he retired early but continued to work as an investor and consultant. He became a partner at ID Interactive Design in London, where he provided innovative solutions for web and mobile platforms. His expertise covers industries such as furniture manufacturing, financial services, and IT.
Additionally, since 2015, he has been a freelance writer, publishing articles on topics such as finance, investment, and golf—a sport he actively promotes in Serbia. Throughout his career, Đukanović has also worked on various projects in finance and education, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to spreading knowledge. This dedication is further reflected in his books and his blog, *Fejsbučenje*, where he addresses analytical topics related to political philosophy.
