The Bisen or Vishen [हिन्दी: विशेन] is a Rajput clan found in Awadh,Madhya Pradesh,Purvanchal and Bihar.
Origin
[edit]Vishen Rajvansh traces its lineage to the ancient Indian Malla Kingdom. The Mall Mahajanapad was one of the sixteen prominent republics of ancient India, known for its distinct political and social structure. Among the notable figures of this republic was King Vishwaseen. In time, the descendants of the Mall people began adopting 'Vishen'—a truncated form of Vishwaseen—as their surname, as a mark of respect and continuity in honor of their revered ancestor.
Vishens are Suryavanshi(Solar Dynasty) Rajputs who claim descent from Chandreketu, the son of Lord Laxman. Chandreketu, known for his extraordinary wrestling talent, was honored with the title 'Malla' and later ruled the Malla Mahajanapad
