Victor George Dodig (born May 1965[1]) is a Canadian banking executive. He is the President and CEO of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), one of Canada's largest banks. He has served as the CEO since 2014[2][3], when he succeeded Gerry McCaughey.[4][5] Victor is also the current Chair of the Business Council of Canada[6] and a Director on the Board of Telus Corporation.[7] He is of Croatian heritage.[8]
In 2024, Victor Dodig stepped back from day-to-day operations of CIBC, allegedly to develop leadership for a potential successor to the CEO.[9][10]
Victor holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.[11]
