Draft:Vasundhara Oswal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vasundhara Oswal is a Swiss-Indian businesswoman. She founded PRO industries, part of the Oswal business conglomerate, which is led by her father Pankaj Oswal.

Oswal graduated from a Swiss university[which?] with a bachelors in finance, during which time she founded PRO industries. In her role as executive Director for the company, she helped establish the first grain-based extra-neutral alcohol production facility in the East Africa region.[1]

In October 2024, Oswal was jailed in Uganda during a routine visit to her family's factory. Ugandan officials allege her detention is due to a missing person investigation. The Oswal family denied these claims and appealed to the Ugandan president and the UN for the release of their daughter.[2]
