Draft:Valerie Glozman

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Comment: Nothing has changed in this draft since the last decline. Jerusalem Post coverage is very good and in-depth, but the rest are passing mentions, stats or match summaries. King-5 reference looks decent, but it's mostly quotes from Valerie and her coach. Still a case of WP:TOOSOON, but seems like we'll hear more about her in the future. • Comment: Non-notable tennis player who fails to meet WP:GNG and WP:NTENNIS. May be a case of WP:TOOSOON as there are no notable achievements on the professional tour just yet. Adamtt9 (talk) 00:34, 28 July 2024 (UTC)

Not an issue of NTENNIS. But the article meets GNG. Which cares not whether there are notable achievements on the professional tour just yet. All it cares is whether the topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Which, as the refs reflect, this article has.2603:7000:2101:AA00:D9C9:C267:26FE:21AA (talk) 21:20, 15 August 2024 (UTC)

Glozman won the U16 Easter Bowl title in Indian Wells in 2022.[6] The following spring, seeded #1, she won the U18 Easter Bowl title, whilst 16 years old, becoming the first back-to-back Easter Bowl champion in nine years.[7][8][4][5] She competed in the US Open Women's Qualifying in both 2022 (where she defeated former world #69 Dalila Jakupovic) and 2023.[3][9]

In May 2023 she was ranked #2 in the United States for 18-year-olds.[10] In Washington, she regularly trained with hard-hitting male tennis players because of the lack of available high level female players.[11]
