Unprocessed is a German Djent band from Wiesbaden, founded in 2013.[1]
History
[edit]Unprocessed, founded in 2013, was formed in 2012 by guitarist Manuel Gardner Fernandes and then drummer Jan Aimène. The band released their first album In Concretion in 2014, followed by EP Perception under Dreamcircle Records in 2016 two years later. [2] The group released their second studio album Covenant in 2018 together with new bassist David John Levy and drummer Leon Pfeifer. With the album, the band began their collaboration with Long Branch Records. Together with Long Branch Records, Unprocessed released their third album Artifical Void in 2019, after the release of the promotional single Abandoned. [3] This was their last album with guitarist Christopher Talosi; with Fernandes remains as the only founding member of the band.
At the beginning of 2020, Unprocessed supported the US band Polyphia on their European tour.[4] This quickly led to a collaboration, the single Real, which was released in July of the same year and was supported by Tim Henson, one of Polyphia's guitarists, and their bassist, Clay Gober.
In July 2021, the single Candyland was released , continuing the stylistic change of the last two singles. Like Realand Deadrose, Candyland remained a stand-alone single. In September of the same year, Unprocessed released Rain, the first promotional single for their fourth studio album Gold. In December 2021, the second promotional single Portrait was released. Dinner was released as the third promotional single in May 2022. Together with the fourth single Closer, Boy Without a Gun (EP) was finally released in June, an EP with all previous promotional singles as well as two additional songs.[5] In the summer of 2022, Unprocessed supported Polyphia on their North American tour together with Death Tour.[6] Fabulist and Berlin will be the fifth and sixth promotional singles for Gold, which was released in August together with AirForce1 Records, in June and on the day of the album's release.
On September 12, 2023, the band released Thrash, the first single for their fifth studio album, ...And Everything in Between. The second single Blackbone was released a few weeks later on October 3, 2023.[7] The final promotional single, Glass, was released on November 1 before the release of the studio album, ...And Everything in Between, on December 1, 2023.[8] One of the songs on this album, Die On The Cross Of The Martyr, features both guitarists of Polyphia, Tim Henson and Scott LePage.
