UnoriginalVinyl (sometimes stylized as Unoriginal Vinyl or abbreviated as UOV) is a graphic design brand founded in 2014 by Jason Zeimet. In 2017, Bruno Santinho, a Portuguese graphic designer, joined as a co-owner. The brand is known for its extensive work in the entertainment industry, particularly through collaborations with artists and entities such as Zac Brown Band, Underøath, Solid State Records, and Tooth & Nail Records.[1]
Since its inception, UnoriginalVinyl has developed over 100 creative projects, including vinyl record packages, music videos, documentary films, and hardcover books. The brand is recognized for its unconventional approach to marketing and its commitment to graphic design, with a particular focus on restoration and physical media. Their work often involves collaboration with record labels, pressing plants, creative agencies, and artists, aimed at providing collectors and fans with unique, high-quality physical products, particularly vinyl records.[2]
UnoriginalVinyl derives its name from an idea explored in the music video for "Cover Girl" by the band The Ongoing Concept.[3]
