Uk University, formerly known as Kuepa University, is a private Mexican university specializing in online education programs, based in Mexico City. It is characterized by the short duration of its programs, with bachelor's degrees that can be completed in 2 years and 8 months. The university has an approximate enrollment of 15,000 students. All its programs are accredited by the Secretariat of Public Education (Mexico). History

In 2019, Uk University was recognized for its technological focus and received funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Zoma Capital, and Adobe Capital. This financial support was aimed at expanding its academic offerings, which at the time included five bachelor's degrees, and allowed it to increase its student base in Mexico, Colombia, and the United States, reaching a total of 6,000 students.

In 2020, following the COVID-19 pandemic, there arose an academic need to adapt to new technological tools that would enable effective teaching while maintaining social distancing. In response to this demand, Uk University decided to implement a Master’s program in Educational Technology, establishing itself as a pioneer in Mexico in offering this type of training.

In 2021, they celebrated the graduation of their first cohort of graduates from the Master’s in Educational Technology.

In 2023, the university received funding to expand into Latin America and increase its Spanish-speaking client base in the United States, projecting a total of 15,000 students. In this context, Altum Capital joined as a new investor.

In the following year, the university worked on implementing technological solutions, such as virtual advisors created with Artificial Intelligence and Twilio Flex, to enhance interaction with students and real-time data management. Additionally, it signed an agreement with Mexican congresswoman Lorena de la Garza to offer high school programs for free to Mexican students.

Pedagogical Method

The pedagogical method of Uk University is based on online learning that allows students to progress at their own pace, accommodating their work and personal commitments. This modality is complemented by weekly live sessions, providing ongoing support and guidance. Furthermore, it includes the Uk LAB soft skills program, aimed at developing interpersonal competencies and improving students' employability. The university also offers support in job placement for graduates, facilitating connections with various companies to enhance their professional opportunities.
