Ultras Green Pirates (UGP; Arabic: ألتراس جرين بايرتس) was an Egyptian ultras group that supported the El Sharkia-based Egyptian Second Division football club Sharkia SC.
History
[edit]Green Pirates was established in 2009, exactly on January 16, under the name of the Ultras Green Pirates. Then it announced the name of the association to Green Boys in 2016, before returning to its first name. The group’s goal is to focus on one direction, which is encouragement only, and its goal is to encourage the work of tifos and banners, and to stand behind The team in every way. Green Pirates principles
[edit]The basic principle of the Green Pirates group is absolute love for El Sharkia SC, a love that results in knowing the team very well, greatly encouraging the team, and defending its reputation inside and outside the field.[1]
Finance
[edit]Ultras groups depend on self-financing, and under no circumstances may the ultras accept any aid from any source. Self-funding is done through the sale of ultras products such as T-shirts, scarves, hats, etc., in addition to the income from membership in the ultras. The process of joining the Ultras usually takes place once a year, where the participant performs the obligation of membership, the value of which is determined by the group, and the participant receives a card or something similar as proof of involvement.[2]
