Udne Ki Aasha is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series[1][2] that premiered on StarPlus[3] on 12 March 2024. Produced under the banner of Rolling Tales Productions, the show stars Neha Harsora[4] and Kanwar Dhillon[5][6] in the lead roles. It is the hindi official remake of the Tamil TV series Siragadikka Aasai.[7]

Premise

The series focuses on the lives of Sachin and Sailee, two individuals from middle-class Maharashtrian families, as they navigate personal challenges and strive to fulfill their dreams. Sachin, a troubled taxi driver who has anger issues rooted in a difficult past, and Sailee, a woman who dreams of becoming a successful businesswoman despite sacrificing her education to support her family. The storyline delves into their respective family dynamics and the societal pressures they face in pursuit of their ambitions.

The series is developed by Rahul Kumar Tewary under the banner of Rolling Tales Productions. Set against the backdrop of a middle-class Maharashtrian family, the show captures the essence of everyday struggles and aspirations.

Reception

Udne Ki Aasha has received praise for its realistic portrayal of middle-class life. Kanwar Dhillon’s performance as Sachin has been particularly noted for its depth and intensity, while Neha Harsora has been recognized for her portrayal of Sailee’s aspirations and struggles.

The show entered the top 5 shows list of BARC in it's first week.[9] In week 41 of BARC, the show entered the list of top 3 shows.[10]

Broadcast and Streaming

The show airs on Star Plus in India at 9 p.m. and is also available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Internationally, it airs in the UK and South Africa, and is available on Hulu in the United States.[11]
