Tornike Asatiani is a Georgian entrepreneur and educator, notably recognized as the founder and CEO of Edumentors, an EdTech startup facilitating connections between students and tutors from esteemed UK universities.[1][2]
Asatiani has been recognized as one of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Georgia in 2021.[3]
Early life and education
[edit]Asatiani was born and raised in Georgia. He graduated from the European School of Management in Tbilisi with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) and a minor in Mathematics and Computer Science (MACS) in 2014. During his undergraduate years, Asatiani got involved in several consulting projects which laid the foundation for his environmental consulting company Ecoman.
Asatiani also obtained an MBA from the London Business School in 2020 during which he worked with several technology companies in AR and AI.
Career
[edit]Asatiani began his career in 2014 as an operations manager at a British-Georgian mining company Caucasus Minerals, and after several promotions became the Chief Operating Officer of the company.[4]
In 2016, Asatiani founded Ecoman LLC, a B2B SaaS consulting firm advising on environmental legislative changes and requirements in Georgia. The company served over 200 corporate clients operating within the Georgian market, including internationally recognized brands such as McDonald's, Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot.[5]
In September 2019 during his masters in London Business School, Asatiani founded S4S Funding scheme, providing a distinctive financing option to London Business School students. This scheme functioned on a reciprocation model, wherein the recipients of funding would fund the tuition of two similar students in the future.[6]
The same year, Asatiani joined PCL Health as the Chief Operating Officer and led the pre-seed investment round of £500k in the company. PCL Health is a healthcare technology company focusing on remote health monitoring of the elderly through wearable devices.[7]
In February 2022, Asatiani founded Edumentors, an EdTech startup facilitating connections between students and online tutors from esteemed universities in the UK such as Cambridge, Oxford, and Warwick. Utilizing AI tools, Edumentors delivers personalized online tutoring services, aiming to transform education by offering tailored support to students, enhancing confidence, academic achievements, and adaptability within the evolving educational sphere.[8]
