Throughout his tenure in professional wrestling, which began in 1992, Thomas performed primarily on the Independent Wrestling Circuit under the ring moniker "TNT". In 1993, the Hammond, Indiana, native was noticed by a Pro-Wrestling Talent Scout, and was offered an opportunity to perform for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as "Enhancement Talent" under the name "Tommy Tanna". After several additional appearances on "The Deuce" in 1996, Thomas received a career altering opportunity the following year, becoming the exclusive ring announcer for ambitious promotional organization "America Presents", founded by Hall of Fame promoter Dan Goossen. Throughout his three year campaign, Thomas would appear regularly on the FOX Sports Net series, "Fight Time on FOX", with additional appearances on HBO, CBS, USA Network, and ESPN.
Between 2000-01, the heralded ring announcer would appear regularly on the boxing series, "Heavyweight Explosion", as well as the syndicated series, "Thunderbox".
In September 2001, Mr. Treiber made his debut on the third episode of the long-running Showtime Network series, Shobox "The New Generation". He would appear on the storied series every year until its conclusion in 2023.
After becoming one of boxing's "Go-To" ring announcers throughout the next decade, working with every major promoter, Thomas received the opportunity to appear in Nottingham, England, in December of 2008, with Hennessy Sports; on a card featuring Hall of Fame combatant Carl "The Cobra" Froch, and the professional debut of lineal Heavyweight Champion "The Gypsy King" Tyson Fury.
