Thomas Lanier Williams (1788 – December 2, 1856) was a justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court from 1825 to 1826.

appointed 1816 (vice Hugh L. White), but next legislature declined to fill vacancy; born in North Carolina; chancellor for East Tennessee, 1836 to 1854; member of state senate from Knox County, 1819, 1821, 1823^[1]

On May 16, 1825, while serving on the Supreme Court, Williams organized the chancery court for the district covering Carter, Greene, Washington, Cocke, Jefferson, and Sevier counties.^[2]

Williams served as Chancellor for the Eastern District of Tennessee for nearly a third of his life.^[3]

Williams died while visiting Nashville, Tennessee.^[3]
