The Whisky Exchange is a UK based retailer specialising in the sale of alcoholic drinks. Founded in 1999, the company operates a website and three London shops, as well as hosting a number of annual drinks shows.
History
[edit]The Whisky Exchange was founded by brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh in 1999[1] building on their family's drinks shop, The Nest in West London, when their parents retired.[2]
Acquisition
[edit]In 2021, Pernod Ricard acquired The Whisky Exchange from Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh.[3] The Whisky Exchange has continued to operate as an independent entity within the Pernod Ricard portfolio since the acquisition.[4]
Store locations
[edit]In addition to its website, The Whisky Exchange has three physical retail locations across London: Covent Garden, Great Portland Street and London Bridge.
Events
[edit]The Whisky Exchange hosts multiple events each year, including several London-based shows:
- Whisky Show
- Champagne Show
- Rum Show
- Cognac Show
In 2025, the company is launching a Tequila and Mezcal Show.[5]
