The Perfect Nanny is an upcoming television series for HBO from Maya Erskine adapted from the novel Lullaby by Leïla Slimani.
Premise
[edit]A seemingly “perfect” nanny helping to care for two young children actually has far more sinister intentions.[1]

[edit]In January 2023, it was reported that Maya Erskine and HBO were working on a television adaptation of the novel Lullaby by Leïla Slimani. Nicole Kidman and Per Saari are executive producers for Blossom Films with Erskine as show creator, writer and star along with being an executive producer alongside Pascal Caucheteux for Why Not Productions, and Philippe Godeau for Pan-Européenne.[2] In February 2024, it was reported in The Sunday Times that Erskine had submitted an outline script to HBO for the series with her role to be as a mother, with possibly Nicole Kidman as "the nanny who murders my two children" and that Kidman "was a little scared to take it on" due to being "an unflattering role’".[3]
