The Night of the Hunter is an upcoming American thriller film directed by Scott Derrickson. It is based on the novel of the same name by Davis Grubb, as well as a remake of the 1955 film directed by Charles Laughton.
Premise
[edit]A serial killer masks himself as a preacher in an effort to swindle the fortune of a wealthy widow.
Production
[edit]It was announced in March 2024 that Scott Derrickson was set to direct the film, as well as co-write the screenplay with his writing partner C. Robert Cargill.[1]
