The Top 100 Egyptian Films is a list resulting from a 1996 poll conducted by Egyptian film critics to identify the best Egyptian films of the 20th century. The poll was part of the 20th Cairo International Film Festival, which commemorated the centenary of Egyptian cinema, coinciding with the first film screening in Egypt in 1896. The list includes films released between 1927, when Egypt's first feature-length film Layla premiered, and 1996. It was officially announced during a ceremony in 1997.

The poll was overseen by writer Saad El-Din Wahba. Actor Shoukry Sarhan appeared in the most films on the list, with 15 leading roles. He was followed by Salah Zulfikar with 10 films, and Faten Hamama and Soad Hosny, each with 9 films. Shadia was also named the best actress, and she, along with Ahmed Zaki, Nour El-Sherif, and Ahmed Mazhar, appeared in 6 films each. Mahmoud el-Meliguy featured in 21 films, mostly in supporting roles, making him the actor with the most appearances overall. Director Youssef Chahine had the most films on the list, followed by Salah Abu Seif.
