Tha Muthaphukkin Real is a song by American rapper Eazy-E, originally intended for the album Villain in Black by fellow N.W.A. member MC Ren. The track was later included on Eazy-E’s posthumous album Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton, released in 1996. Produced by By DJ Yella and originally Cold187 Um of Above The Law, the song features a distinctive gangsta rap sound, with heavy beats and raw, unapologetic lyrics typical of West Coast hip hop during the early 1990s. The track also originally featured guitar played by Mike “Crazy Neck” Sims, adding a unique element to its instrumental arrangement.[2][1]
Background and Production
[edit]Tha Muthaphukkin Realwas initially intended for MC Ren’s Villain in Black, an album that was meant to follow his 1993 solo debut Shock of the Hour. However, after Eazy-E’s death in 1995, the song was reworked and added to the compilation Str8 Off Tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton. The decision to include the track came after DJ Yella paid for its inclusion in the album, with MC Ren suggesting a remix of the original beat.[1]
The song’s production was handled by Cold187um, with guitar provided by Mike “Crazy Neck” Sims. The track’s beat carries a signature mid-90s West Coast sound, blending traditional hip-hop elements with unique instrumentation.[2][1]
