Tariq Sheikh is a British entrepreneur who founded Tariq Halal Meat, a halal meat supplier in London. [1] [2]


Early life and career

Born in Pakistan in July 1961, then immigrated to the United Kingdom at the age of 4. Sheikh's professional journey began in the fast-food industry, where he commenced employment at Huckleberry’s at 17. Later, he worked at the role of manager within six months and later assumed the position of area manager by the age of 19, overseeing multiple stores.[3][4]

Tariq Halal Meat

Sheikh in his 30s founded Tariq Halal Meat with the objective of modernising traditional halal butcher shops.[5]

Philanthropy

In addition to his business ventures, Sheikh actively supports philanthropic causes, including charitable organizations such as the Prince of Wales's British Asian Trust, the British Heart Foundation, and the Cancer Foundation. He is also involved in community and educational initiatives, particularly focusing on promoting entrepreneurship among young individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.[6] [7]
