The Talysh Wikipedia (Talysh: Tolyšə Vikipedija) is the Talysh-language edition of Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia. Talysh is a Northwestern Iranian language spoken primarily by the Talysh people, who inhabit parts of Iran and Azerbaijan.[1] Established to cater to the linguistic and cultural needs of the Talysh-speaking community, this Wikipedia version serves as a repository of knowledge in their native tongue. Talysh wikipedia was launched in August 2023.[2] On this wiki, the Talysh language is written in the Latin script and can also be read in the Cyrillic script using an automatic transliteration system.[3] up to now, Talysh-language Wikipedia has 2750 registered users, 2 moderators, and 8176 articles. Currently, the Talysh Wikipedia is written in the northern dialect of the Talysh language.
