Taane Samuel (born 26 April 1999) is a New Zealand professional basketball player for the Wellington Saints of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He is also contracted with the Tryhoop Okayama of the Japanese B.League.
Early life and career
[edit]Samuel was born and bred in Wellington, New Zealand. He began his career at De La Salle University in 2018, he then got a contract in the New Zealand NBL, playing for the Manawatu Jets. He played for the Manawatu Jets for 3 seasons, before moving to Wellington in 2021 to play for the Wellington Saints. After 2 seasons with the Wellington Saints in 2023 he got offered a contract from the Tryhoop Okayama of the B.League.
