Suriya 45 is the working title of an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action adventure film[1] written and directed by RJ Balaji, in his solo directorial debut. It is produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures. The film stars Suriya.
The film was officially announced in October 2024 under the tentative title Suriya 45, as it is the actor's 45th film as a leading actor. Principal photography is reportedly scheduled to commence the following month. The film has music composed by A. R. Rahman.

[edit]Before the release of Kanguva in late 2024, it was reported that RJ Balaji had met with Suriya and narrated a script which impressed the actor. The project was reported to feature the script that was narrated to Vijay and commence after Suriya completes Suriya 44.[2] The project would reportedly be funded by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures.[3][4] That October, production was reported to begin the following month as Suriya 44 had wrapped the same month.[5] The same month, the project was officially announced.[6] The company made a public announcement on 14 October 2024, confirming the project, tentatively titled Suriya 45.[7][8] In November, Trisha was reported to have been cast as the lead actress.[9]
Music
[edit]The soundtrack is composed by A. R. Rahman, in his first collaboration with Balaji; fourth with Suriya after Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004), Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006) and 24 (2016).[10][1]
