Suresh K Alahari is an Indian American Scientist. He is a Fred G. Brazda Professor of Biochemistry at LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans [1]. He is also a full member of Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center and Professor of Genetics. He is an Associate Editor for four journals and on the editorial board for many journals. He received many awards in the U.S and was recognized as top 30 people in New Orleans for his discovery of a novel protein that he termed Nischarin and its role in role in breast cancer [2,3]. He was interviewed by several TV and radio channels for his discovery. He traveled to many countries and gave about 150 lectures around the globe. He was a Visiting Professor at Rockefeller University, New York and the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He published more than 100 papers in various journals and conferences.

Alahari received his MS in Human Genetics from Andhra University and was a fellow at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He earned a PhD from Drexel University, Philadelphia.He completed his postdoctoral fellowship in cancer biology and Pharmacology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. His lab mainly focuses research on the protein Nischarin that he discovered [4].
