Sukalyan Kumar Kundu
[edit]Sukalyan Kumar Kundu is a Bangladeshi pharmacologist and professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His research primarily focuses on natural drug development, molecular biology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical formulations. Dr. Kundu has authored over 80 peer-reviewed [1]publications and serves on the editorial boards of several academic journals in his field. He is also known for his contributions to the development of immunoboosters aimed at preventing infectious diseases and cancer.[1]
Education
[edit]Dr. Kundu completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) in 1998 and his Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) in 2000 at Jahangirnagar University. He obtained a Ph.D. in Oral Life Science from Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Japan in 2007, specializing in molecular and pharmaceutical sciences.[2]
Career
[edit]Dr. Kundu began his career as a Quality Assurance Officer at Beximco Pharmaceutical Ltd. in 2000. In 2001, he joined Jahangirnagar University as a lecturer. He advanced through the ranks to assistant professor in 2008, associate professor in 2009, and professor in 2012.[3] In 2023, he was appointed the provost of the Salam-Barkat Hall at Jahangirnagar University.[4]
