sthlmflex is a local flexibility market in the area of greater Stockholm that started as a pilot on the 1 December 2020.[1] sthlmflex was initiated by the Swedish TSO, Svenska kraftnät, due to mayor capacity constraints in the region. The project group consisted of the TSO and two regional DSOs, Elervio and Vattenfall. Later on also eon joined the project group.[2] The sthlmflex project was a bit special due to the Swedish set up with two layers of DSOs, and hence it included TSO-DSO-DSO configuration.[3]
