Life and career
[edit]2003–2022: Early life and career beginnings
[edit]Sriya began practicing singing and dancing at the age of 12. After being introduced to a song from EXO by her friend, Sriya became inspired to pursue a career in the K-pop industry.[2] she began auditioning for K-pop companies in 2020, while also practicing Korean through online programs and watching Korean dramas.[1][3]
2021-present: Blackswan
[edit]On January 28, 2022, DR Music revealed Sriya and fellow trainee Gabi via their Instagram page, stating that only one would be joining their girl group Blackswan as the group's official fifth member.[4][5] On May 26, DR Music introduced both Sriya and Gabi as new members of the group through the label's Cygnus project, a project with an admission and graduation concept.[6]
Sriya officially made her debut with Blackswan in May 2023 with the single album, That Karma.[7][8]
