Space Mountain is an upcoming American science fiction film written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. The film is inspired by Walt Disney's eponymous theme park attraction. The film is produced by Safehouse Pictures and Rideback for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
Production
[edit]A new family adventure film inspired by Walt Disney's Space Mountain ride was announced as a project in development in October 2020. At the time Joby Harold had been hired to write the script and produce the project alongside Tory Tunnell for Safehouse Pictures and Rideback.[1] In April 2024, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec were announced as new writers for the film, which was still being developed at Safehouse Pictures and Rideback, and Harold was still producing.[2]
